First, it isn't a scientific disagreement; it's an unscientific denial.
Second, features of the universe are not best explained by ID, because
ID introduces the the concept of the supernatural designer, which is by
definition unexplainable, and which the theory of evolution renders
unnecessary. Since the theory of evolution is simpler, ie it doesn't
require a supernatural designer, it is a better explanation than ID. But
the simple fact that ID isn't science at all is sufficient to reject ID.
