As far as I know, nobody has **ever** demonstrated that
it was practical or possible to bring down a steel framed
building with thermite or whatever else these guys are
speculating about. The "evidence" I know of is
Jones cites an off topic reference in an ordinance disposal
patent "thermite is used to demolish structures". Nothing
in the patent or elsewhere backs this assertion.
A patent for a thermite match that claims to have burned a
one inch hole in a piece of 1/4" steel.
A grant to Livermore labs dated 2002, a almost a full year after
9/11 to undertake some research on nanothermites.
This appears to be the sum total of the credible detailed
demolition scenario showing quanitity, type and placement
of explosives that I'd asked for. The rest is left to the reader's
imagination.
