I recall reading that Blackwater there was tied right in with
Halliburton. If true, this is all quite understandable.
Halliburton is charging 4 - 5 times what the projects it's
supposed to be doing are worth. They get 4 or 5 million for a
building project, subcontract it out for one or two, and pocket the
rest just for facilitating the deal (by the way, are these the kind of
"productive" people that Bush helps out and Rush Limbaugh defends?).
In addition to the MASSIVE AND ONGOING rip off of the US
taxpayer that Halliburton is perpetrating, they were also caught
stealing army vehicles (presumably for Bush's post-retirement private
army).
Halliburton and Blackwater guys doing the same jobs as some in
the US military are getting paid 4 times as much to do them.
The US military ought to just walk right out of there and
leave the whole corrupt enterprise to Bush's corrupt buddies, and then
we'll see how long it lasts.
